Time Now: Current Local Time in Any City

Find the time anywhere in three steps
- The large clock starts with your own zone. Type a city or a zone name such as Asia/Kolkata in the search box to switch to it.
- Read the offset from UTC, the daylight saving status and the date of the next change under the clock.
- Move the hour slider to see what time it will be in the cities in the list when it is that hour where you are.
What the clock shows
For every zone the page shows five things: the time with seconds, the date, the short zone name with its offset from UTC, whether daylight saving time is in effect, and the day when the clocks next change. The change date is calculated from the rules built into your browser, which use the IANA time zone database. For a zone that never changes its clocks, the page says so. The line below the clock also tells you how far the zone is ahead of or behind your own device.

Half-hour zones and their offsets
Most zones are a whole number of hours from UTC, but a few are not. This table shows real offsets on a winter and a summer date in 2026.
| Place | On January 15, 2026 | On July 15, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| India | +5.5 h from UTC | +5.5 h from UTC |
| Nepal | +5.75 h from UTC | +5.75 h from UTC |
| Iran | +3.5 h from UTC | +3.5 h from UTC |
| Afghanistan | +4.5 h from UTC | +4.5 h from UTC |
| Newfoundland, Canada | −3.5 h from UTC | −2.5 h from UTC |
| Adelaide, Australia | +10.5 h from UTC | +9.5 h from UTC |

Accuracy and limits
The clock reads your device’s time and zone, so it is only as accurate as your device. Rules for daylight saving change from time to time, and your browser may have older rules than the latest decision of a government. We have not yet tested every phone and browser. Write to [email protected] if a zone looks wrong. Back to OxoApp.
Frequently asked questions
What is UTC and why do time zones use it?
UTC, Coordinated Universal Time, is the reference all zones are measured from. A zone is written as an offset, such as UTC+5:30 for India or UTC−5 for US Eastern winter time. UTC itself does not change with the seasons.
Why do some places have a half-hour or 45-minute offset?
Some countries chose a standard that sits between whole-hour zones. India uses UTC+5:30, Nepal UTC+5:45 and Newfoundland in Canada UTC−3:30 in winter. The table above shows the real offsets today.
How does the page know my time zone?
Your browser reports the time zone set on your device. The page uses it to show your clock and the difference from other places. If your device clock or zone is wrong, so is the page.
Does every place change its clocks?
No. Most of Asia and Africa, and some US areas such as Arizona and Hawaii, stay on standard time all year. Many places in Europe, North America and Australia change twice a year, and the page works out the next change date for the zone you pick.
