Use the Philippines clock in three steps

  1. Read the live clock and the offset. It is always UTC+8.
  2. Check the list for the time and day in the US, UK and Asia. Note that Manila is usually a day ahead of the US.
  3. Use the overlap helper below to see the hours when both sides are at work.

Philippine Time and the US gap

Philippine Time is a single zone for the whole country, and it has no summer time. The gap to the US changes because the US moves its clocks on the second Sunday of March and the first Sunday of November. The table shows how many hours Manila is ahead on a winter and a summer date in 2026.

Working hours overlap for remote teams

Teams that work across the Pacific meet in the gap between two workdays. Choose the hours for each side and the helper counts the overlap. The default is a 9 to 5 day on both sides, and you will see that the overlap is zero, so one side must start early or finish late. See also: time now. See also: time in japan.

Frequently asked questions

What time zone is the Philippines in?

The Philippines uses Philippine Time, PHT, which is UTC+8. It is the same offset as Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Perth.

Does the Philippines use daylight saving time?

No. The clock stays on UTC+8 all year. The gap to the US changes by an hour twice a year because the US changes its clocks.

What is the time difference between Manila and New York?

Manila is 13 hours ahead of New York in winter (EST) and 12 hours ahead in summer (EDT). In 2026 the gap changes on March 8 and November 1.

How can a remote team share working hours?

Use the helper above. Pick the workday in the Philippines and in the other place, and it counts the overlapping hours. With the US, the overlap is usually at the start of the Philippine day and the end of the US day, or the reverse.
