Yes or No Wheel: Spin for a Random Yes or No Answer
Yes or no wheel: spin for a random answer. The wheel has a Yes slice and a No slice, an optional Maybe slice, a best-of-3 mode and a running tally. The answer is chosen first with your browser’s secure random generator, so the animation cannot change the odds. For fun, not advice.

Spin for an answer in three steps
- Think of a yes or no question and, if you like, add a Maybe slice or turn on Best of 3.
- Press Spin the wheel. The wheel turns and stops on the answer.
- Read the result and the tally. For other signs and symbols to copy, see symbols copy and paste.
How the answer is chosen
When you press Spin, the page asks the browser for a secure random number, the same kind of generator used for cryptography in the browser. It uses the number to choose Yes, No or Maybe, and only then starts the animation, which ends on the chosen slice. Nothing is sent to a server, and the wheel keeps no memory of earlier spins, so a run of Yes answers does not make No more likely.
| Setting | Slices | Chance of each |
|---|---|---|
| Default | Yes, No | 50% each |
| With Maybe | Yes, No, Maybe | 33.3% each |

Best of 3
In best of 3 mode, the first answer to win two spins wins the series. Maybe is not counted. With a fair wheel, a series ends 2 to 0 half the time and 2 to 1 half the time, just as it does for a coin.
| Result | Spins | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 2–0 for Yes or No | 2 | 50% combined |
| 2–1 for Yes or No | 3 | 50% combined |
For fun, not advice
A wheel can help you break a tie or pick a movie. It is not a good way to decide anything that affects your health, money, safety or other people. If you keep spinning until you get the answer you want, that is a sign you already know what you prefer.

Frequently asked questions
Is the yes or no wheel really 50/50?
Yes. Without the Maybe slice, Yes and No each have a 50% chance. With Maybe on, each slice has a one-in-three chance. The result is drawn with the secure random generator in your browser.
Is the animation fixed?
No. The answer is decided first, and the animation then lands on it. The spin is only for show, and it does not change the chances.
What does best of 3 do?
It plays up to three spins. The first answer, Yes or No, to reach two wins takes the series. Maybe results are not counted toward it.
Can I use it to make important decisions?
Use it for small, playful choices. Do not use it for health, money, legal or safety decisions.
