Where Pacific Time applies

In the US, California and Washington are in the zone, as are most of Oregon and Nevada. A small eastern part of Oregon and the town of West Wendover in Nevada keep Mountain Time. In Canada, most of British Columbia is on Pacific Time. Cities in the zone include Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Portland and Las Vegas, and in Canada Vancouver.

Pacific Time compared with others

The difference from other US zones stays the same all year. Hawaii does not use daylight saving, so its gap changes by an hour. The United Kingdom changes its clocks on different dates, so the gap shifts for a few weeks in March and October.
